Wedding / Racing Packages

The Golden Boar Inn is a stunning 16th century Inn located in the idyllic village of Freckenham, Suffolk, (approximately 6 miles from Newmarket) set in an acre of beautiful grounds.
The Inn offers superb accommodation facilities making it the perfect place to stay for your wedding or trip to the races. The Golden Boar also has a bar and restaurant offering quality ales and excellent food prepared by our award-winning Head Chef Sergio Neale, previously a sous chef in the Axis restaurant at the 5 Star One Aldwych Hotel in the West End of London.

Accommodation at the Golden Boar consists of two single rooms and four twin rooms, all of which are affectionately decorated with scenic views of the Suffolk countryside and comprise of en suite amenities, television, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. One of our twin rooms also has full disabled facilities. Included as part your stay we offer a full range of breakfast from cereals to full english.

Room charges: Single £50.00; Twin £90.00 (£20.00 supplement on single room price for single occupancy of a twin room)

Champagne Breakfast Package - £550
- Same as standard package but with champagne breakfast for all guests staying in rooms.

Pre-wedding / racing light lunch package - starting from £600
- Same as standard package but with light lunch (of your choice selected from our menu) for all guests staying in rooms.

Sunday Lunch Wedding / Racing Package - £600
- Same as standard package but with 3-course Sunday lunch for all guests staying in rooms.

A combination of packages is available if you are staying for more than one night.
All packages based on a minimum of ten people - if you wish for family and friends who are not staying with us to join you for lunch or breakfast this can be arranged for an additional charge per person. Standard breakfast £9.95, Champagne Breakfast £15.00, Light Lunch from £16.00, 3-course Sunday Lunch £17.50
We do not charge extra if your wedding falls on a Newmarket races weekend.
