The focal point of the Golden Boar is its fabulous award-winning Conservatory Restaurant. The modern yet cosy restaurant is split into two levels with the lower level situated in a large conservatory with scenic views of the idyllic Suffolk countryside making it the perfect setting for a quiet meal or a large party both of which can be effortlessly catered for.

The restaurant serves an a la carte menu which has been created by our award-winning Head Chef, Sergio Neale. Sergio was previously a sous chef in the Axis restaurant at the 5 Star One Aldwych Hotel in the West End of London.
The menu consists of modern european food which is all freshly prepared by the brigade of Chefs using local and seasonal ingredients.

Conservatory Hire

To make your occasion extra special we can offer you exclusive use of the conservatory.

For dinner parties the price includes candle-lit, white clothed tables with white napkins and fresh flowers. Should you wish to decorate the room further this can also be arranged.

Cost for exclusive use of Conservatory Restaurant:

On Monday - Thursday there is no charge if there are 25 guests or more.
There is a £10 per person charge if there are less than 25 guests, up to 25 guests.

On Friday -Sunday there is no charge if there are 30 guests or more.
There is a £20 per person charge if there are less than 30 guests on Friday - Saturday and a £15 per person charge if there are less than 30 guests on Sunday, up to 30 guests.

Conservatory hire for buffets

PRIVATE BUFFET

For parties having buffets the Conservatory is charged at £200 for 20 - 40 guests and £150 for 40+ guests (plus the cost of the buffet). This price includes the use of tables, chairs, cutlery and tableware. Should you wish to decorate the room this can also be arranged.

Conservatory hire for non-catered events

PRIVATE PARTY IN THE CONSERVATORY

The Conservatory is also available for private hire even if you do not require us to cater for you, for example if you would like a disco.

Our prices are only based on use of the Conservatory from 6pm -11pm and will include the use of tables and chairs. They do not include the cost of entertainment; however we can also arrange this for you at an extra cost. Should you wish to decorate the room this can also be arranged.

Mon-Thur less than 50 guests: £750
Mon-Thur more than 50 guests: £650
Fri-Sun less than 50 guests:£1,000
