The Golden Boar
The Golden Boar Inn is a stunning 16th century public house and restaurant offering quality ales and excellent food. The restaurant has recently won the 'First for Fine Dining' Award, 2010 and 'First for Pub Food' Award, 2011 in which Velvet magazine's readers voted for the best restuarant in Newmarket, Cambridge, Bury and the surrounding areas.
In addition The Golden Boar has also reached the semi - finals of the BII's prestigious 'Licensee of the Year' Award, 2011, which is open to public houses throughout the country.
The Boar is located in the idyllic village of Freckenham, Suffolk, (approximately 6 miles from Newmarket and its Rowley Mile & July Race Courses) set in an acre of beautiful grounds and also offers superb accommodation facilities.
As well as being able to dine in the beautiful restaurant, drink in the cosy bar or stay in one of our fantastic rooms, the Golden Boar is also able to cater to any other special requirements you may have.
From small private parties to large weddings, whether you require these to be internal at the Inn itself or external, the Golden Boar can make any event extra special for you.
